BCAA powder - with leucine, isoleucine and valine - during training

BCAAs (Branched-Chain Amino Acids) are three essential amino acids, these are leucine, isoleucine and valine. A major benefit of BCAAs is the stimulation of muscle protein synthesis, i.e. the production of muscle protein is promoted. They also take on muscle-protecting functions, which can prevent muscle breakdown, for example during a calorie-reduced diet. Compared to other sources of protein, BCAAs have very few carbohydrates, which is why they are also very suitable during a diet. Due to the fact that not whole proteins are consumed, there are no digestive problems, which means that taking them directly before training is safe. Another benefit is the provision of energy in the event of a deficiency. Here, instead of the muscle's own BCAAs, additional BCAAs from the blood are used.
